Joey is living proof of incredibly hard work, love and dedication.

After living with a debilitating illness throughout his teens, Joey sunk into a deep and consuming depression after a series of personal tragedies. In 2019, Joey attempted suicide. Medical personnel informed Joey’s family his chances of survival were minimal whilst in a coma. He now lives with a severe acquired brain injury. Joey is living and breathing proof of incredibly hard work, love and dedication. Joey shares his story in hope that other young men who may be struggling with their own thoughts and feeling can see reaching out for help doesn’t make you weak, it makes you strong. Joey is committed to living his second chance and helping others see that life is a precious gift and that you are not weak to speak.
